Word of God / Salvation
Word of God: We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are given by God’s inspiration, and in the original writings they are without error. We believe the Scriptures were written by God through people and therefore speak with the authority of God while reflecting the backgrounds, styles, and vocabularies of the human authors. They are the unique and final authority on all matters of Christian faith and practice.
Salvation: We believe that Jesus Christ died as the substitution for the death penalty we owed. No amount of good works or human effort can restore us from our state of sin and eternal alienation from God. It is only through the willing sacrifice of Jesus' life that we can be forgivien of our many sins - no matter what they are. It is only by God’s free gift of grace that we are saved from this state of eternal alienation and given a deposit of the Holy Spirit to nurture a change of heart towards God's loving and merciful leadership in our lives. It becomes a life long relationship and journey to becomming a new person in the true likeness of our Saviour and God. It is true freedom to be unchained from sin and its consequences, to really know (and experience) God and to know how much you are loved and cherrished. He is real and He is there. Ask Jesus to become the Lord of your life...over every area of your life.
