Our Foundation

Father God: We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and operating together as one in unity. "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one." 1 John 5:7
Word of God: We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are given by God’s inspiration, and in the original writings they are without error. We believe the Scriptures were written by God through people and therefore speak with the authority of God while reflecting the backgrounds, styles, and vocabularies of the human authors. They are the unique and final authority on all matters of Christian faith and practice.
Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. We believe He was raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now acts as the only mediator between God and people.
Holy Spirit: We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit, as the third person of the Trinity, is to apply the saving work of Christ. He does this by bringing conviction of a person’s need for the forgiveness of Christ. He regenerates their heart and then permanently indwells within them when they believe. His ongoing work is to guide, instruct, convict and empower the believer for godly living and service done in the likeness of Christ.

Salvation: We believe that Jesus Christ died as the substitution for the death penalty we owed. No amount of good works or human effort can restore us from our state of sin and eternal alienation from God. It is only through the willing sacrifice of Jesus' life that we can be forgivien of our many sins - no matter what they are. It is only by God’s free gift of grace that we are saved from this state of eternal alienation and given a deposit of the Holy Spirit to nurture a change of heart towards God's loving and merciful leadership in our lives. It becomes a life long relationship and journey to becomming a new person in the true likeness of our Saviour and God. It is true freedom to be unchained from sin and its consequences, to really know (and experience) God and to know how much you are loved and cherrished. He is real and He is there. Ask Jesus to become the Lord of your life...over every area of your life. .
The Church: We believe that there is only one true Church universal composed of all people who have asked Jesus Christ for forgiveness and made Him leader and Lord of their lives. The diversity of all believers working together, humbly and lovingly using their gifts to build up one another, form the parts of the body of Christ, the Church. The Scripture commands believers to gather together to devote themselves to worship, to praise, to prayer, to the teaching/ learning/understanding/wisdom of God’s word, to continually confess their sins, to humbly and generously use their gifts to build up one another, to reach out to others with the GOOD news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples, to soberly and joyfully partake in communion and to baptism. Wherever God’s people meet in sincere obedience to these commands, there is the local expression of the church which reflects the true likeness and love of Christ, their Lord. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church, and that every local church has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs under the guidance and adherence to Scripture.
Spiritual Growth: We believe that individual transformation, growth and life change are evidence of a person’s connection to God. As we continue to pursue a real and active relationship with God, He will continue to reveal Himself and change us to become more like Christ. But it requires our continual sincere and humble willingness and intentionality to know Him, love Him, allow Him to build His character in us, to love ourselves and then love people. We must stay connected to Christ and to the body of Christ under His loving Lordship for us to grow and be sustained through lifes challenges on this earth.
