Our ministry is centered around a pause with Jesus as depicted in the story about The Samaritan Woman at The Well: (John 4:4-42)
Early in His ministry, Jesus came to a Samaritan city called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired out by his journey, was sitting by the well waiting. You see, He had a purpose in journeying there and planned to arrive by a certain time. It was about noon. About the time for a Samaritan woman, who broken from sin, shamed and shunned, was to arrive there alone. Some Jews regarded the Samaritans as unclean because they are a mixture of ethnicity and beliefs, a mixture of Jew and Gentile and their attitude was often hostile towards Samaritans. The conversation that occurred between that particular Samaritan woman and Jesus on that quiet afternoon together, just the two of them, forever changed that woman and subsequently the town she lived in. Jesus spoke with such warmth, understanding and conviction that the woman was radically transformed because of the life-giving words of truth she had heard and the power of the living truth she experienced.
From the Well Ministries seeks to share truth about the healing power of Jesus Christ with men and women who need transformation. The ministry was birthed in 2014 with a focus of ministering to couples and churches at a grassroots level. We are a biblically-based ministry whose aim is to work with couples within the Body of Christ, where the Word of God is able to “keep you from stumbling and make you stand in His glory blameless, and with great joy.” (Jude 24). Our other aim is to assist churches by helping them create an organic marriage ministry.
