One of the most powerful and productive things a husband and wife can do together is to commit to live out their marriage and family structure according to biblical principles. Proverbs 29:18 reads, “Where there is no vision the people perish (or are unrestrained). When families don’t live according to a pre-established vision, standards can become obsolete, and situational lifestyles become the norm, subject to cultural pressures and expectations. This retreat addresses four phases of vision casting; Phase one – Where are we now, Phase two – Where are we going, Phase 3 – What will we do, and Phase four – A vision for our marriage and family. Each phase drills down into the individual’s and couple’s goals, priorities and values and connects with their combined desire to leave a godly legacy for themselves, their families, and those who come after them.

The nature of a marriage Intensive is to help couples get to the root of their challenges and issues. An Intensive provides couples with the gift of uninterrupted and undistracted time, allowing them to make significant progress in a short period over the course of a weekend, that’s both confidential and safe. They are customized, intimate, and personalized sessions designed to help couples identify and address their specific personal and marital needs. Intensives are much more powerful than multiple one-hour meditation sessions because they keep both individuals focused on their individual and collective issues, hopes, and dreams, for a concentrated period of time.

Most couples that attend an Intensive are experiencing some form of long-term marital distress or have even begun the divorce process. In addition to the focus issues addressed in Prepare and Enrich, and XO Marriage Meditation, and related focus issues addressed in the Art of Marriage, our Intensive specifically targets your marriage’s heart cry. Whether it’s dealing with unresolved anger, drifting towards isolation, unforgiveness, selfishness, broken trust, shame, guilt, dis-empowerment, traumatic events, irreconcilable differences, or any other form of marital imbalance, we stand ready to take that deep dive with you to address your individual and marriage’s root causes, apply biblical salve over your wounds, point you towards biblical forgiveness and reconciliation, provide life-sustaining resources, and pray new beginnings and hope over your marriage and legacy.

If you find yourselves stuck in patterns and cycles of conflict, then an Intensive could be right for you. As a couple, you will receive over 20 hours of personalized meditation, guidance, biblical instruction, and marriage building exercises that can help fan the flame of your marriage back to life. Everything is taken care of so you can concentrate on your most important relationship – the Lord and one another.

If couples are dealing with serious issues related to ongoing levels of addiction, adultery, physical or emotional abuse, abandonment, and/or mental health, we can refer them to a variety of licensed counselors and/or mental health professionals.
